A new garage door is a complete operating system. The sections, track, rollers, cables, springs, hardware, and opener all have to work together so the door moves smoothly and stays properly balanced.
START WITH THE OPENING

Opening size, sideroom, headroom, backroom, and the available space for the opener determine how the system needs to be configured.
Track, Sections & Hardware
The door sections are set in the opening, rollers and hardware are installed, and the track is positioned and secured so the door has the correct path of travel.
Springs, Cables & Balance
The spring and cable system is installed and adjusted so the door is properly balanced. A balanced door should move smoothly by hand and should not rely on the opener to carry the door’s weight.
Opener Fit & Connection
If an automatic opener is being used, we confirm the available clearance and make sure the opener is connected to a properly balanced door with the correct attachment point.
Final Operation & Safety Check
Before we call the job finished, we cycle the door through a complete open-and-close sequence, check the balance and hardware, and verify opener operation and safety-reversing sensors when an opener is connected.
